The quality of care, service to patients, and professional training among the staff (especially in regard to both physical and occupational therapists) is high quality. You can trust that your loved one is receiving excellent and ongoing attention. In addition, the staff are friendly. The food is high quality, as well. My mother has been in several short and long-term facilities. We did a lot of investigating in order to find a place where we felt confident that our mother would receive quality care and that the center would not be another warehouse for the elderly. "Dear Avamere Managers and Owners, my father-in-law Charlie M. was in your rehab during. I wanted to thank you for the good care he received. But I wanted to especially thank one of his nurses and one of the aides. Amber was a wonderful and gracious nurse. Her compassion was evident to us. She went above and beyond the call of duty with him. She always made time for my questions. He was also blessed to have Sharon as his aide. She knew exactly how to talk to him (he is almost deaf) and treated him with a firm arm (even though she was much shorter) and a smile. She knew to speak to his ear in a low voice and instinctively knew to use a few simple words to get him to understand. Both of these women treated him with dignity. As his family we are grateful to these two! There were others whose names I do not know but I wish to recognize. There was an aide who was a young man from Africa who always saluted Charlie and a nurse who came in to explain to Charlie about how he needed to drink water to help with his diabetes. That nurse explained it better than any doctor we have seen. Thank you also to the OTs and the PTs who worked with him." Barbara M.

"My dad Had to be at Avamere for 30 days of rehab after a fall. He had NEVER been ill in his life so this was REALLY a trial for him! However, he LOVED the staff and the FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! His favorite caregiver is Babue. As a retired CNA/Hospice caregiver I was VERY VERY happy not only with the staff but also with the atmosphere there! The facility is WELL staffed and ALL staff are VERY friendly helpful and Professional! NO bad smells, very clean facility! Lynn the social worker is extremely helpful, VERY supportive. I cannot say enough great things about her. My sister and brother cannot thank the staff enough for all they did for our dad to make his stay there go smoothly for him and us! "Your warm hearts and caring spirits"

"Greetings, I wanted to express my deep and sincere gratitude for the many caring individuals who assisted my father recently in his attempt to rehabilitate from his very challenging physical condition. He passed away quite suddenly. We were looking forward to getting him home for his final days, but his body simply gave out on him. We will miss him dearly. There was a period of time last Saturday in his room at Avamere where he at last came to peace about his soon passing and sought out each of us to hug and/or say a brief message. Those were his final good-byes. I know you all deal with this every day, and maybe don't always hear the appreciation for what you do, but I now understand why many of you are in this profession. Your warm hearts and caring spirits are making a difference. Even at the most vulnerable and fragile periods in a person's life – the little things are noticed and matter to them. My Dad expressed such appreciation and praise about many of you (and not just those who brought him ice cream!), and for that I simply say thank you. All the best to each of you.
